Joe Thomas is a versatile saxophonist splitting his time between Gilbert, Arizona, and Brooklyn, New York. With 19 years of experience—12 of them professional—he studied jazz performance at Arizona State University and has shared the stage with world-class musicians like Ben Wendel, Jeremy Pelt, and Alex Sipiagin.

A staple in Arizona’s top jazz orchestras and small ensembles, Joe also held a residency with Dick Griffin’s Big Band in Manhattan before returning to Arizona in 2023. Beyond jazz, his musical range spans reggae, cumbia, punk, ska, norteño, choro, pop, R&B, and progressive rock, with extensive live performance experience across these genres. He also plays clarinet and flute.

Available for solo performances with backing tracks, Joe prefers playing in trio settings with fellow musicians, where he thrives. Additionally, he has been teaching saxophone and improvisation privately for nine years and currently mentors three online students.
