BETH LEDERMAN
Beth Lederman is a highly respected keyboardist, bandleader, and educator with over 40 years of professional experience. A mainstay in Phoenix’s jazz and Latin music scenes, she is known for her versatility and heartfelt approach to a wide range of musical styles—from samba to swing, singer-songwriter melodies to pop. Her dynamic performances and deep musicality have made her a sought-after collaborator and performer throughout Arizona, Canada, and Mexico.
An Arizona native, Beth’s musical roots run deep—her family owned Lederman Music Co., a chain of music stores in the Valley. She began classical piano studies at age five and later earned a B.A. in Music, paving the way for a diverse and accomplished career. She has performed with The Diamonds, Carmen Bradford, James Moody, Bobbie Vinton, and the Phoenix Symphony, as well as countless Arizona-based artists in concert halls, clubs, churches, and festivals. Beth has graced the stages of The Ravenscroft, The Nash, Scottsdale Center for the Arts, Tempe Center for the Arts, and Chandler Jazz Festival, among many iconic venues. In addition to performing, she is a dedicated music educator, serving as part-time faculty at ASU’s Pop Music Program and teaching at The Nash Jazz Education Center.
Throughout her career, Beth has led and contributed to notable projects, including Novo Mundo (Brazilian jazz), Más (salsa), and Zúm, Zúm, Zúm (Brazilian fusion). She also served as musical director for a touring production of Phantom of the Opera and spent a season performing at The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. Currently, she leads her own celebrated ensemble, Jazz Con Alma, delivering performances filled with creativity, humor, and a commitment to excellence.
