For Anthony Lloyd, music has always been more than just sound—it’s a lifelong passion that began on the living room floor, listening to his grandmother’s records while surrounded by the nostalgia of plastic-covered couches. Influenced by Motown, Disco, and Classic Rock, he first picked up the clarinet in high school, but at his father’s urging, he made the switch to the saxophone—an instrument that would become his true musical voice. Since then, he hasn’t put it down, expanding his skills to include guitar and bass to further enhance his versatility and contribution to the music community.

Beyond performance, Anthony developed a deep curiosity about the instruments themselves—how they are built, the woods, metals, and strings that shape their sound, and the craftsmanship behind them. This pursuit of knowledge led him to not only master his own instruments but also help fellow musicians understand and maintain theirs. To Anthony, musical instruments are art in motion—beautifully displayed when still, yet capable of creating rhythms that move people. Over the years, he has had the privilege of performing with Alex Boyé, Marcus Anderson, LeBron Dennis, Antonio Jackson, Lisa Hightower, and Bibire Harmony, bringing his soulful sound and deep appreciation for music to every stage.
